Its TIME TO VOTE!!!

Not THAT Vote!!! That’s a little bit down the road for now.

No, this is of earth-shattering importance. Maybe we exaggerate a
little.

We are asking you to vote for Wes and Victoria as we have been
nominated by a Netherlands radio station as one of their artists of
the year.

How can you help us, you ask!!!

Here is what you do-

go to www.starliners.nl

It will be in Dutch, by the way. But there is a link in English that
that says indie awards. Click on that and a little popup will appear
that lists the nominees. You will see Wes and Victoria. Just pick our
name and submit your vote. They will ask for an email address, to
prevent folks from voting multiple times we suppose. Give them an
email addy, or one of your email addy’s you keep handy for mailing
lists or other “sign up” type websites (a tip from us tech savvy
folks, always get a spare email address, preferably from one of those
free email services like yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc, to put in on
sites that ask for email addresses and keep a private email address
you use primarily for friends and family)

We really appreciate your vote. Its great to be nominated, they play
lots of indie artists and pick only ten a year to be considered for
voting. Tel all your friends. We don’t mind folks we have never met
voting for us. If they are worried they haven’t heard our music,
that’s an easy fix. Send them over to www.babamuse.com and have them
click on the little white ipod in the the middle of that
page…problem solved.

Windows PC’s and Internet explorer seem to work great, not so sure
yet about how well Mac browsers play with their site.

OTHER NEWS:

We just got back from LA where we did a location scout for a multi
camera hi-def video shoot we are planning to do with our amigo- the
talented and charming Mr. Jim Phelan- as he is lending his
considerable gifts to creating something we can put on DVD and other
hi-def media to let the world know about our work….the trip went
great, fun was had by all, and more info will be forthcoming….the
location is spectacular if you think the notion of standing up high
on a hill with the millions of lights of the LA basin twinkling in
the background is something that might be considered
spectacular…its a pretty amazing view…kinda like looking out of a
helicopter at the city of LA only you aren’t moving…

We will keep everyone posted. Lots to do on that project before we
shoot it, but spirits are high and we are so very excited to be
working with such talented folks on this project.

There will some new music posted soon, plus some video in the next
month or so from our new CYBERJAVA series, more on that later.

We are back in blogville. We have a number of new, free MP3’s from a recent gig at a cool little jazz spot called the Bliss Cafe. The audience was a nice mix of friends and new folks we met, wonderful little room with good vibes and the audience was full of good listeners. We will be going back there, plus the manager and staff were great.

The tune we are tagging in this post is an older song of ours called Hollywood Moon. Guess its on our minds because we will be in LA very soon, planning a video shoot for later in the summer to be done at a friends house overlooking the LA basin. Its an amazing view, and the show will be shot in hi-def for a DVD to come out later this year or early next depending on schedules.

Anyway, the song Hollywood Moon is for anyone who has ever dealt with trying to match up their dreams with the reality of attempting to make them come true. We have not played it in a long time, it was good to air it out that night and its a nice tune for Vic’s harp. Its free at THIS LINK
