Video Time-
Take a break from the flat screen hi-def 1080p world of big time video and come hang out with us at the Mercury Cafe. There are two versions of video here, one formatted for Quicktime and one formatted for Windows Media Player. So all you folks with Quicktime can watch the Quicktime version, and all the Windows Tribe can watch the other one. Join the lo-def devolution!
This was pretty darn simple. We put the camera on a tripod, hit the record button, and let it run. We hoped there would be a minimal amount of folks walking in front of the camera or bumping into the tripod. Still, its a little slice o’ life from a Friday night in Denver, Colorado where we did our folkie thang….feel free to save these to your PC or ipod if you like, and spread the word - and the video
Click on the link - if you already have a media player associated with the file type it will start playing once enough of it downloads. Otherwise, your computer may prompt you to pick what application you want to play the file with. Pick Windows Media Player for the Windows version and Quicktime or iTunes for the Quicktime (Mac) Version. For you tech-savvy folks out there pick whatever you want and know will work. Of course you can right click and save as (PC)or ctrl click and and save (Mac) and directly save the file to your machine.
Depending on whether or not your machine is set to start playing a hinted streamed video (geek talk, sorry) the video might start playing right away or take a bit to download to the machine before it starts. For example, a windows PC might start playing the Windows version right away but take a while to download the Ipod version, or vice versa a Mac machine might start playing the Quicktime version right away but take a while to download the windows version (provided you have the Windows media player installed on your Mac, which some Mac-o-philes are loath to do) Anyway, it all works, its been tested on both platforms. And the files are set as hinted streaming files, so most likely they will just start to try and play. Enough geek stuff- hope you like this little folkie interlude.
Enjoy- Wes and Victoria
