We just got great news regarding the title track from our Ballad Of Billy Saigon CD!!

A Hamburg label is putting together a major Vietnam themed project…its called NEXT STOP VIETNAM and it has a street date of June 2010. According to their info, here are some of the artists they will have on the CD compilations:

Victoria and I are back from a whirlwind tour of Europe. Three countries in 10 days with shows in London and Rotterdam, plus some tourist time in Paris.

A YouTube video of our London gig is here. The Icarus Club had its heyday in the 60’s, featuring the Rolling Stones, The Who on its stage while Eric Clapton lived nearby. Its a haven for Singer Songwriters these days, and it was a great bit of fun to play there. We made fast new friends and will be going back for bigger and better gigs in the Future. It is a handheld homemade video, but the vibe of the song No Gravity and the audience response is just cool….

The Rotterdam show was broadcast worldwide on the web from The Starliners Radio Network and we got a great response. From there it was on the Paris for our first trip to the City of Lights, which was magical to say the least.

We returned to find that I was one of the finalists in Blue Muse Publishing’s 2009 Songwriter of the Year Awards.

There is alot more music to come. I have almost 30 tunes he has written for the next Wes and Victoria project, and ther may be a short little acoustic Sampler of those tunes released on iTunes in late spring…still pondering that one.

First- the Colorado Wave 2009 Record of the Year- White Man - Red Road is done and finally available. You can email us for details, the E- Commerce site will be live over the weekend. It sounds great! Justin did a wonderful job mixing it and Jonathan Pines was superb with the Mastering.

On top of the, Pines remastered The Ballad of Billy Saigon project and it is MUCH warmer and fuller, folks who have both say they love the new version.

Hey gang..we hit the stage in a few hours to play for the Patriot Guard and the Vietnam Vets tonight in Taos…its a great group of guys and for all you in the drinking crowd..they had homemade moonshine- which we did not try but we hear you could prime a fuel injection system with it…literally as well as metaphorically…

Well, the winner in this year’s Starliners Radio Indie Artist voting was announced today in a one hour special broadcast- and it’s us. Wes and Victoria!!! Its been great seeing all the support from friends and strangers (new friends) alike, and we captured 24 percent of the vote.

This was the largest turnout and listening audience they ever had! They put up an extra server just to deal with all the traffic.

Thank you to all who supported us!!

We are headed for the Albuquerque Film Festival this weekend to play a show at the afterparty for the new Danny Glover vehicle “Gospel Hill”. We are playing with our good friend Justin Walden, who has a great new record out over on Bandcamp.com.

We will post more news when we get back from that gig! Maybe some video of our recent shows……

The new CD is at Jonathan Pines Studio in Champaign, Illinois is mastered and sounds great!!!…artwork is done and it will be available in the near future. It was mixed by Justin Walden, our good friend, who also played on the tracks….this one will be really different…but more on that closer to showtime….You can get a preview of the unmastered CD by clicking on the IPOD on this page..the new record starts at cut # 17.

We are gigging- the 24th is at Hogback Cellars in Morrison and the next night we are at Peaberry’s in Cherry Creek!Justin Walden will be playing with us on the 24th and on the 25 its Justin and Bill O’Rourke….

You all probably own at least a dozen copies of the Billy Saigon CD by now, but just in case!!!
